A secondary emerging market, Argentina is the third largest economy in Latin America. The country's constant growth is due to a large market, high levels of foreign direct investment, and an important percentage of agricultural products and high-tech exports as a share of total manufactured goods. Argentina benefits from a large variety of natural resources, a well-educated population and a relatively diversified industrial base. The country's services sector is the most important in terms of percentage of the economy and of employment, followed by manufacturing, agriculture, construction, mining and public utilities.
